How Much Does Dryer Vent Cleaning Cost in Pinellas County?

By Dryer Vent Clean Experts, founded by Steven Johns in 2012 · NADCA certified · Local teams in Clearwater, Largo and Seminole · Updated October 2026

Short answer

Our standard dryer vent cleaning for a ground-level wall vent is $99. Roof vents, condo units and long runs are quoted on the phone before we come out, and repairs get a fixed price on site that you approve first.

What a $99 cleaning includes

  • An airflow reading at the outside vent before we start.
  • The lint-trap housing cleaned.
  • The transition hose behind the dryer cleaned and checked.
  • The full duct cleaned with rotary brushes and a strong vacuum.
  • The outside cap cleared and the flap checked.
  • A second airflow reading, so you can see the difference.

What changes the price

Roof access. Height, pitch and roof type decide how long the job takes and what safety setup it needs. See roof dryer vent cleaning.

Run length and bends. Long runs take more time, and runs over the code limit may need rerouting. See rerouting.

Building rules. Condos with roof access, elevators or set work hours take more coordination. See condo and HOA programs.

Repairs. A crushed hose, a broken cap or a disconnected duct is extra, always at a fixed price you approve.

Nests. A bird nest takes extra work to remove from both ends. See nest removal.

Red flags in a cheap quote

  • Only the hose behind the dryer gets cleaned. The clog is usually further down the line or at the cap.
  • No airflow reading. Without a before-and-after number, you can't tell whether the vent is actually clear.
  • A low price that grows on site with add-ons you didn't agree to. Ask for the price before work starts.
  • No photos. A good company shows you what it found.
  • No insurance. Anyone working on your roof or in your building should be insured.

Is it worth it?

A clear vent lets the dryer finish in one cycle, which saves time and wear on the dryer. It also removes the fuel behind the most common cause of dryer fires: the U.S. Fire Administration lists failure to clean as the leading cause of home clothes dryer fires. For a yearly job, that's a small cost. See our dryer vent fire prevention guide.

Questions

Is the quote free?

Yes. Call or request a quote and we give you the price before we come out, or before any extra work on site.

Why is a roof vent more expensive?

It takes a roof setup, more time and cleaning from both ends, because the lint packs at the top of the run.

Do you offer prices for multiple units?

Yes. Condo buildings, HOAs and rental owners get one price per building or property. See condo, HOA and rental programs.

Is the airflow test extra?

No. It's included with every cleaning.
